Building an Effective Service Catalog

One of the first steps in implementing a cost model and a showback or chargeback process is defining the services that IT provides customers and identifying how that data will be socialized in reporting and invoices.

In this presentation, Rob Mischianti provides some basic foundational information about service costing and chargeback, discusses the pros and cons of various approaches, and reviews the impacts of various levels of granularity.
