Experienced technology CEO and revenue leader to guide Nicus' next phase of growth and AI innovation
Roanoke, VA — Sep 15, 2026 —
Nicus Software, Inc. (Nicus), a leading provider of enterprise IT Financial Management (ITFM) solutions, today announced the appointment of Robin Wadsworth as Chief Executive Officer. Wadsworth, who assumed the role effective September 14, brings more than 30 years of experience building and scaling growth-oriented software companies. She has also worked closely with Nicus over the past several months and already has a strong understanding of the company, its strategy, and the market it serves.
Wadsworth assumes leadership at a time when AI is reshaping both how enterprises make technology decisions and the investments they must manage. Nicus is advancing its use of AI to help IT and finance leaders move more quickly from complex technology data to better-informed decisions, while also helping organizations gain greater clarity into the growing cost and business value of AI itself. Her experience accelerating revenue, strengthening go-to-market execution, and scaling enterprise software businesses positions her to lead Nicus’ next phase of customer, product, and commercial execution. She succeeds Eric Stoop, who is leaving Nicus to pursue a new software startup opportunity.
“Robin combines the operating experience, commercial discipline, and customer focus that are highly relevant to where Nicus is today and where we see the opportunity ahead,” said Philip Hall, Managing Partner at Spotlight Equity. “She already understands the company, its leadership team, its strategy, and the market we serve. As AI creates new opportunities for Nicus and new challenges for our customers, Robin’s experience translating market opportunity into execution and value creation makes her exceptionally well suited to lead Nicus forward.”
Wadsworth most recently served as CEO of Thought Industries, where she led product-led growth, AI innovation, and company-wide operational transformation while growing revenue by more than 230 percent. Earlier, she served as SVP of Global Account Management and Enterprise Sales at BlackLine, a leading financial operations platform for the Office of the CFO, where she helped grow annual recurring revenue from $40 million to more than $250 million and contributed to the company’s successful IPO.
“Nicus has deep expertise in helping organizations understand the cost, value, and broader business impact of technology,” said Wadsworth. “What excites me is the opportunity to build on that foundation as AI changes both the complexity and pace of technology investment. I want to spend time with customers and prospects, hear firsthand what they are trying to solve, and use those conversations to help shape how we continue to innovate and deliver value.”
Nicus is increasing its investment in AI as part of the continued evolution of its ITFM solutions. The company is developing capabilities designed to help leaders engage more naturally with complex IT financial data, surface relevant insights faster, and maintain a clear connection between those insights and the underlying data that supports them.
